Overview

KARDO AID’s Protection program focuses on safeguarding the rights, dignity, and well-being of vulnerable populations including women, children, IDPs, elderly persons, and marginalized groups. The program promotes community-based protection mechanisms
and strengthens accountability and human rights awareness.

Objectives

  • Protect vulnerable groups from abuse, exploitation, and violence.
  • Strengthen community-based protection systems.
  • Promote gender equality and social inclusion.
  • Improve access to protection services and referral mechanisms.
  • Enhance accountability to affected populations.

 

Key Activities

  • Awareness raising on gender-based violence (GBV) and child protection.
  • Establishment and support of community protection committees.
  • Psychosocial support and referral services for survivors.
  • Strengthening complaint and feedback mechanisms (AAP).
  • Capacity building for community leaders and stakeholders.
  • Advocacy on human rights and protection issues.
  • Support for vulnerable groups including women-headed households and persons
    with disabilities.
